Career Profile
I am a mathematician that enjoys the life as an associate professor. For me, a perfect combination of teaching and research!
Experiences
Teaching mathematics for engineering students, and doing research in applied and computational mathematics.
Did research and image analysis development for the DarSIA project, https://github.com/pmgbergen/DarSIA.
Tought bachelor and master level mathematics courses, and did research for my PHD. The dissertation is available at https://bora.uib.no/bora-xmlui/handle/11250/3022032.
Managed the ENT3R project at the University of Bergen with 18 employees that worked for recruitment to natural sciences.
Acted as a teaching assistant in a variety of bachelor and master level mathematics courses.
Courses
Here follows a list of courses that I have been teaching
A short course in Lie theory with the aim of applying it to state estimation in robotics.
First subject in calculus with some linear algebra and differential equations.
Summer course in mathematics covering the basics needed to start the engineering education.
Mathematics course for informatics students covering some linear algebra, complex numbers and basic calculus.
Preparatory course in mathematics covering the basics needed to start the engineering education.
Master and PhD-level course in finite element methods. Focus was split between implementation and analysis of the methods.
First calculus course at the University of Bergen.
